CER locomotive at Museum Night

The event was organized by MÁV Passenger Transport Ltd. Szeged Vehicle Insurance Directorate and took place on June 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Szeged tram-train maintenance workshop.

Many people arrived at the venue before the opening, so the event opened its doors at 5:15 p.m.

Our company was represented at the event by locomotive number 92 54 2753 610-5, which our colleagues – locomotive drivers Zoltán Ordas, Tibor Nagy and Lajos Ádám – had “magically” transformed into a very attractive, splendidly polished vehicle. With their help, it stood out among the other vehicles on display, and many people asked, “Is this a new locomotive?” Thanks to regular maintenance and the dedicated work of our locomotive drivers, our 2019 locomotive is in mint condition.

Interested visitors stood in long lines but waited patiently to climb into the locomotive’s driver’s cab. In addition to a professional presentation and explanation, our locomotive driver, Zoltán Ordas, even took visitors into the engine room.

The CER Hungary stand was particularly popular among visitors thanks to the interactivity of our train driver colleagues and the impressive appearance of our stand.

The event was made even more special by the fact that the staff of the MÁV site in Szeged also welcomed CER’s presence. It was also a great advantage that we were able to meet important partners such as DB Cargo and Kárpát Vasút in person. Danilo Bulatovic, regional manager of PIMK in Subotica, also honored the event with his presence.

At our stand, the managers of the Operations organization answered questions and presented visitors with small gifts.

There was great interest in the event even in the late evening hours, right up until closing time. After the program, after midnight, our locomotive returned to service on the Szeged – Röszke – Subotica route.
