2024. June 7.Ottó Horváth, CEO of CER Cargo Holding, participated in the 1st Rail Vehicle Symposium and Exhibition organised by Hungrail. The organisers invited the CEO to participate in the round table discussion of the 2nd SECTION on “Rail Vehicle Financing in the Central and Eastern European Region – Finding Resources”.
The rising number of passengers as a result of the tariff reform and the growing freight transport needs as a result of Hungary’s re-industrialisation efforts require not only the capacity development of the railway infrastructure, but also of its rolling stock. We need to look at the financing options open to public and private operators to develop their asset base, the possibilities for maintaining existing rolling stock and the procurement strategy they should pursue.
